Description: Interview with Mrs. Ruth Wright. Ruth Wright was born in Pasadena and her family is one of the pioneer families of Pasadena. Her parents moved to Pasadena from Georgia in 1906 where her father got a job hauling objects for other people and businesses. She was married to John Wright, the founder of the Pasadena NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). She was a member of the First African Methodist Church, which she joined when she was 12 years old.
